Volunteers at Del Valle ISD support campuses in a variety of ways, as determined by the campus administration. Volunteer opportunities may include helping in a classroom or library, assisting with office tasks, supporting special events or projects, being a guest speaker, accompanying as a chaperone on a field trip, and other items determined by the campus.
Why Volunteer?
- To have direct involvement in your child’s education
- To learn valuable ideas for activities you and your child can do at home
- To experience the great satisfaction of helping someone
- To have an opportunity for personal growth and develop new skills
- To learn about your community and school system
- To get to know the school’s staff and other parents
- To make a contribution to the community
Volunteers must complete the application and a background check to volunteer at a campus. Volunteers must always be under the supervision of a district staff member.
