Primary Purpose:

Provide visionary leadership in learning resources and instructional support to work with students, faculties, families and communities.  Provide all students and faculty with an enriched library environment containing a wide variety and range of materials that will invite intellectual growth, promote literacy and technology integration into the teaching and learning process.  Provide services and resources that allow students opportunities to develop skills in locating, evaluating, synthesizing and using information to solve problems.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Certification                

Valid Texas librarian certification or be actively enrolled in an accredited university program with a minimum of six (6) completed hours

Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Non-refundable fee (approximately $50) paid by employee.

 

Required Experience:

Three (3) years teaching experience

 

Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of current library practices

Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills

Competence in use of current library technology

Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and learning
