Primary Purpose:

The Chief Technology Officer will direct and provide oversight for all district technology.

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

Education/Certification:

Master’s Degree Preferred

Candidates must have a satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Non-refundable fee (approximately $50) paid by employee.

 

Knowledge/Skills:

Have a working knowledge of the school district and its policies

Knowledge of key learning theories and methods of instruction, and their relation to technology integration

Knowledge of computer network, hardware and software applications

Knowledge of computer applications development and implementation

Ability to manage budget and personnel; coordinate district functions

Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills

Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and data

Creative thinker and problem solver

Strong project management skills

Experience in the implementation of integrating of instruction technology

Experience in technology planning, and staff development

Experience using current and relevant technology resources

Technical expertise regarding end-user applications and hardware is required

Experience working with data systems and analysis (including file formats, imports, exports)

Working knowledge of technical systems (network, servers, imaging, etc.)

 

Experience:

Minimum 5 years central office leadership, CTO experience preferred
