Primary Purpose:

Under general supervision, maintain the flow and drainage of water, air, and other gases by assembling, installing, and repairing pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures districtwide. Maintain and provide for the safe condition and operation of all plumbing systems in district facilities, including managing backflow devices, gas pressure testing and all state mandated processes applicable to Del Valle ISD.

Tools/Equipment Used: Plumbing tools and equipment including pipe bender, propane torch; hand tools; power tools; light truck or van, trailer, pressure washer, grinder, ladder, pipe threader, plumbing snake, and related plumbing tools.

Posture: Frequent standing, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting; work in tiring and uncomfortable positions including climbing, crawling and working in confined spaces.
